We have had a very busy May around the Conkey household! The days have been filled with school activities, BBQ's, friends' birthday parties, soccer for Ian, swim lessons for the girls, dance practices, recitals, preschool graduation and camping! Phew! I am tired just writing all of it!
A few weeks ago the girls had their dance recital. Kaelyn danced in 4 numbers and Sami danced in 3. I am happy to report that everybody danced in all of their dances!

It was a fun dance season because the girls were able to dance with all of their friends!
A few days after the recital my baby graduated from preschool. Now, you know that I am NOT an emotional person but for some reason the thought of Sami graduating from preschool really brought tears to my eyes. We have been at Little Lambs preschool since Ian started there in 2004. The teachers there are so wonderful and we are all going to miss them dearly.
The first thing they did was have each of the kids stand on a platform and shake the Pastor's hand. They then announced what each kid wanted to be when they grew up. Sami, of course, wanted to be a beautiful ballerina!
Then they sang a few graduation songs...
We were very proud of our graduate!
Here are a few pictures of Sami with her teachers...
Everybody loves Mrs. Wegner! Ian still talks about her and how she was his favorite teacher! While Sami is sad to be leaving her friends and teachers at Little Lambs she is also very excited to start Kindergarten in the fall. She keeps telling Kaelyn's Kindergarten teacher that she is going be in her class in the fall. Lets just hope that the principal honors my teacher request!
We finished out May by taking our first camping trip of the season. Brolan couldn't wait to get our camper out and get it ready to go! We headed out to a place called Heartland Woods which is just outside of Jackson, MI. The weather was perfect all weekend and there was plenty to do around the campgrounds.
